  On the runway to everyday wear the leather jacket is a must-have item in fall. For rainy days and sunny days it is not to thick and not to thin. Leather jackets can add a fierce look to an outfit especially if its asymmetrical. 

Scarves

Falling leaves and heavy winds are slowly approaching with the season of fall on its way . No other way to stay warm and add the perfect neck accessory than using scarves. The best thing about scarves is you can buy them for a reasonable price or even make them.  

Boots

Rain or snow, no one wants cold feet, your toes can be warm and you can remain fashion forward by adapting boots in to your fall attire. There are many different styles of boots that can be worn for everyday and even to the office.

Remixing the Runway: Model Casting Call

    Ashley Rebecca Management has collaborated with Phoenix Glam Squad, Real Talk Luana, and Weave Bar Atlanta women entrepreneurs forming the organization of "Remixing the Runway". This collaborative effort will provide a great opportunity for emerging urban fashion designers, boutique owners, music, dance and tattoo artist to expose their creativity to Phoenix.       

  

Remixing the Runway: A fusion of Phoenix fashion, art, and urban lifestyles, this is definitely a show you will not want to miss. Show will be held on September 29, 2013 at the Clarendon Hotel.

Women vs. Women

Some women bleach their skin to make their skin coloration lighter.

Some women tan their skin because it gives the illusion of toner body.

Some women are curvy.

Some women are skinny.

Some women contour their nose, to make it appear smaller.

 Some women use lip injection for fuller lips.

   Why are we judging one another? Not to condemn any of the beauty services; just curious to know why is it so hard for us women to be less judgmental and more supportive of one another. Women vs. Women is a constant battle, we would rather demean one another instead of uplifting each other. We all have our personal reasons and motives for the decisions we make in life, some decisions are based on media influence, others are based on family, so on and so forth. As women, we need to take a stance and stop pointing our fingers at one another and begin encouraging, and uplifting each other instead.

   Why can't love be enough? Love is so inspiring, encouraging, and it makes this crazy world a better place to live in. If we can learn how to love one another, we would be better examples before our children. Love teaches our children to be kind, to speak highly of one another and most importantly to HELP each other. We need to teach our daughters to stop competing with other women, our biggest competition is ourselves. Therefore ladies lets learn to LOVE, INSPIRE, and ENCOURAGE each other!

For the luv of Hair - Shanae Hughes

   Meet Shanae Hughes, Phoenix Glam Squad Head Hair Stylist. Hughes is a Phoenix, AZ native, she began doing hair at the age of 14. She then thrived to achieve a higher education to perfect her craft. Hughes received her education from Regency Beauty Institute, after she completed her degree she began working for Beauty Brands in Scottsdale, AZ. At Beauty Brands she began working as an intern and she worked her way up to become a glamorous hair stylist.
  At a young age Hughes discovered her love for hair, when her mother would take an abundance of time to complete her hairstyles. Therefore she took her frustration and began styling her own hair; at that time she discovered her true talents. Afterwards she started practicing on fellow classmates and that is how she built her cliental. Hughes is now an owner of her own brand For the luv of hair and she also is one of our owner's at Phoenix Glam Squad. Hughes has grown so much in the past few years and she plans on opening a small salon in the near future. She will be collaborating with her business partners, offering a one stop shop that will provide all beauty services. She is an advocate of making her clients feel at home, which is what she plans on providing once her business is up and running. Currently, Hughes owns a home-based hair salon which offers all hair services; from hair coloring to styling, full weave services and so much more.
