Remixing the Runway

Remixing the Runway was held on October 27, 2013, at the Clarendon Hotel. This urban chic fashion show was a collaboration of Phoenix Glam Squad and Ashley Rebecca Management. This was a one-day showcase featuring designers I-land Apparel, Rejected Thrifts, Boshok Clothing, Rich Knitts, Woman's Touch, Rayisa Designs and One Thought. Phoenix Glam Squad's founder Janae' was the Executive Style Leader. The coordinator of PGS Bobbi was the Executive Operations Director. Remixing the Runway also gave a portion of their proceeds to the Worthy Institute which is a foundation dedicated to providing services to families, organization, and the community. Remixing the Runway was the ultimate fusion of fashion, art, and urban lifestyle.

Sherri Shepherd the television personality, comedienne actress, and author was invited as a keynote speaker for the Arizona's Ultimate Women's Expo. She shared testimonies about her walk with type 2 Diabetes.  She gave excerpts from her book titled Plan D: How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes. Sherri said that; "diabetes could have killed me. Instead, it saved my life."

 Behind the Scenes:

Phoenix Glam Squad's very own make-up artist Janae' Shields was granted the opportunity to glam up Sherri Shepherd for her guest appearance at the Arizona's Ultimate Women's Expo.

Make Full face with faux lashes.

We gave Sherri a natural gold smokey eye with a pop of color. Sherri said she likes to play up her eyes and down play her lip color and that's exactly what we did. We did a beautiful gold smokey eye and added a bright blue on her lash line. Her flawless skin didn't need much so I added Mac Studio finish and fix and topped it off with a mineralized powder. We did some contouring and added a nude lip to complete the look. Sherri loved her makeup, she looked at herself numerous times complimenting our makeup artist Janae' Shields work. We were honored to work with such an amazing, hard working, personable celebrity and we can't wait to work with her in the future!
